what to know for an unforgettable pride.

  • PARADE DETAILS

    Parade Entry number: 9
    Arrival time: by 9:00am
    - Entry leaders and vehicles: by 8:30am
    Meet at: 123 S West Temple St
    - Allow time to park and walk to the parade staging area as many streets will be closed for the event.

    The Parade:
    The parade route is 7 blocks long and about two miles. We anticipate finishing the parade around 10:39 am. Please be sure to bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and anything else to help you get to the end of the parade. A truck will be leading our entry and can hold water bottles, snacks and other items you may need to access during the march. We advise everyone to check the weather and plan accordingly. The parade is held, rain or shine.

    Parking:
    The Utah Pride Parade does not provide or contract any parking for the event. Participants are encouraged to ride share or take public transit. The Temple Square Trax Station is located right on the side of our staging area. Pay to park lots can be found in a few places surrounding the parade staging area including:

    - 200 W & South Temple
    - 380 W South Temple
    - Gateway Parking
    - 128 S 300 W
    - 306 S West Temple
    - City Creek Parking

When and Where do we assemble for the parade?

Please meet at 123 S West Temple St by 9:00am on Sunday, June 8th. This is the Pride of Southern Utah staging area. Being on time is critical to be sure we comply with Utah Pride’s parade entry policies by getting everyone checked in and ready to march.

CAN I BRING MY DOG TO THE PARADE?

Dogs and pets are not permitted on the parade route.

WHERE DO I PARK?

The Utah Pride Parade does not provide or contract any parking for the event. Participants are encouraged to ride share or take public transit. The Temple Square Trax Station is located right on the side of our staging area. Pay to park lots can be found in a few places surrounding the parade staging area including (click each location to open in google maps):

- 306 S West Temple
- City Creek Parking

Please note that some parking options may require walking several blocks to the parade staging area. Plan your trip and arrival time accordingly.

How long will we be walking in the parade?

Our specific entry start time is expected to be at 10:11am, and our estimated completion time is 10:39am. The parade route covers 7 blocks and is approximately 2 miles long.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

If you are marching in the parade or volunteering at the Pride of Southern Utah booth, you will be gifted a T-shirt to wear. Please plan to wear this shirt during the parade and any shifts you volunteer for at the festival. Good walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen and hats will help keep you comfortable during the events.
